I got the recipe from Josey Baker’s Adventure Bread several months ago and I have been making it ever since. I hardly buy any bread for myself anymore. There is so much you can do with the basic recipe.
You can add as I did, saffron, all kind of herbs and spices or you could do a sweeter version as I did by adding cocoa nibs, cocoa powder and Grand Marnier. The last two times I made the bread, I skipped the maple syrup and it tasted more earthy.
You don’t have to feel guilty eating this amazing bread and once you make it, there is no turning back!
