Casa Batlló is on of Antoni Gaudí’s architectural wonders in Barcelona. It was built between 1904 and 1906 and is located on the famed Passeig de Gràcia. We first saw this beautiful building on the way to our hotel from the airport. We had to stop and take in the greatness of this masterpiece before heading to our nearby hotel. Unfortunately this was the only site that I didn’t purchase ticketss ahead of the time. We tried our luck before lunch, but the crowd was too great. After lunch we had to wait in line for at least forty minutes to get our tickets. Then you had to go to another line for ticket holders. So the moral to the story is to get your tickets ahead of the time.
Casa Batlló facade is the most beautiful and colorful of any building we saw in our limited time in Barcelona. The roof’s colors and design put a spell on you. Once inside, you are in for a feast for your eyes and mind.
