When I first heard about Estrella, I thought, oh another Top Chef restaurant, but when I saw the picture of the Rolling Stone, I was intrigued and decided to give the place a chance. The space has a large patio and depending on where you are seated you might be facing the sun or seat in the shade. The service was very friendly.
Their coffee was good, but nothing to rave about.
The Rolling Stone Bacon Wrapped Avocado with a Baked Egg and Queso Fresco
It is all about this delicious dish. The combination of the cool silky avocado, the salty smoky bacon and the runny egg was magical and very satisfying.
Angus Burger Smoked Tomato, Pickled Red Onion, Sharp Cheddar, Sunny Up Egg on a Toasted Brioche Bun
The burger was pretty good but messy to eat and after a couple bites we decided to use our forks and knives.
Sous Vide Hanger Steak, Orange, Habanero Chimichurri , Little Gems and Radish
This dish was just OK because the steak was cooked sous vide method. It lacked the nice smokiness that you get from grilling that we prefer.
