I first read about 26 Grains in one of the daily emails I receive. It mentioned that the london’s health conscious celebrities frequent this place.  I took a look at the menu and I was sold, specially when I saw that they serve hot chocolate turmeric.  Their food is basically the kind of food I like to make myself. It took us a while to find it and the tiny cafe was packed with people.  I was trying to decide what to get and I asked the counter guy what his favorite was? His pick, banana cacao, sounded a little too sweet for me. After we placed our order we sat outside on a bench wondering if we had to eat our food on our lap. Thankfully, a communal bench opened up. Prices were a little high but you can’t expect any less from London and yes I wish we had a place like this in the LA area.
Chai Latte
My husband’s pick and he enjoyed it.
Hot Chocolate Turmeric
It was good but I wish it was a little thicker and more chocolatey and at around $7:30 a bit pricy for the portion.
Egg & Kale
Oats with Kale, Egg, Avocado and Sriracha
My husband loved this dish mostly because he loves eggs and he liked the addition of the siracha.
Matcha Cacao Coconut
Almond Milk Oats, Cacao Crumble, Cacao Nibs, Coconut Flakes, Matcha Ice Cream, Popped Quinoa
I loved my choice. It is the kind of oatmeal I make myself but the matcha ice cream made this dish truly special.
