I was drawn to Paley because of the mouthwatering picture of their Mille Feuille. Since I had my favorite Mille Feuille at Jacques Genin a couple weeks prior, I was in desperate need of finding a good one in the LA area. The space was large and bright and the decor was modern. They even had the fancy Toto toilets I believe. Everything about this place was about glamor, but did the food match the decor? As with most LA restaurants no, not really.

Ok, so the reason I came here. Well, it looked better than it tasted. The cream was on the sweet side and the Layers of puff pastry were too hard and not crisp like the ones from Jacques Genin. They obviously left the puff pastry in the oven for a bit longer than they should have.
Steak with Worcestershire, Watercress & Egg
It was a good steak but it did not have much flavor.
Ham and Cheese with Fried Egg on Croissant
The ham and cheese were pretty good but the croissant was not as buttery as we like it.
