I picked this place for our first brunch in D.C. The menu looked good and the location by the water in the Navy Yard area was a bonus. The food was good to great and service was helpful.

Crispy Hash Browns Romesco, Caramelized Cipollinis, Chives
Priced at $7, I felt it was a poor value considering the portion. Taste wise, it needed a bit of salt to perk it up.

Scallops & Grits Carbonara Smoked Speck, Wilted Greens, Onion Jam, Roasted Peanuts
I really enjoyed this dish. The scallops were cooked just right and went very well with the creamy flavorful grits and the bitter greens. onion jam provided sweetness and peanuts added crunch.

Chicken Fried Oysters Buttermilk Biscuit, Chorizo Gravy, Sunny Side Up Eggs
My husband’s dish was less successful than my dish. The oyster’s batter was too salty and one of the eggs needed an extra minute to set in order to be safe to eat. The gravy was good though.

Goat Milk Panna Cotta Strawberries, Cardamom, Pistachio
One of the reasons I picked this place was the picture of this desert on their instagram. It was very good. The strawberries were more likely, Harry’s from Oxnard, CA. The cardamom and pistachios almost made it taste like a baklava. We could have easily eaten a few of these.
