This bakery was Northern Virginia Magazine 2016 winner. On the way to D.C. we stopped here and picked up a couple of items. The bakery had a lot of baked goods but the majority did not appeal to me.


Sacher Torte
This was a chocolate cake with almonds, apricot jam and marzipan filling, covered with dark chocolate truffle. It was a good version but the the chocolate truffle was on the sweet side.

Westphalian Pumpernickel
This bread was a combination of whole grain pumpernickel and sour dough. It tasted fine but the texture was too soft.

Volkorn Rye
A combination of sour dough and Whole grain rye. This bread too was also soft in texture.
