It had a nice texture (flaky) and had enough butter to make me happy.
Mirabelle Plum and Brown Sugar Cronut
The Cronut craze happened after our last visit to Dominique Ansel Bakery. Thanks to a tip, I reserved one and picked it up at the store. It was worth a try. It had layers of crisp croissant dough and the mriabelle brown sugar creme in the middle. It just had a little too much sugar around it.
Pain au Chocolat
The pain au chocolat looked different and interesting but it was not as light and flaky as it should have been. It was a little dense.
Canelés de Bordeaux
We ate this later in the day so, unfortunately it had lost its crunchiness, but still tasted pretty good.
DKA Dominique’s Kouign Amann
It looked odd and did not deliver the high notes that we tasted from the one from the Dominique Ansel Kitchen.
