I found this place by accident. I was checking out the Costa Mesa’s Farmer’s MKT and sampled their bead. As soon as I sampled the “New bread” I was sold. It had the best crust that I have had in the area. The baker is German and their shop is in San Clemente, CA. I have tried the following breads:
New bread, My favorite and the owner’s favorite bread. Whole Grain Dark Rye Sourdough with a delicious hard crust.
Whole Grain Baguette, it was nice and had a sweet taste to it
Whole Grain Oat Bread was good
Kamut was very interesting and nutty
Spelt, very nice bread, but on the pricy side at almost $8
Chocolate bread with almond, I sampled it and the chocolate was still warm and delicious. I just wished they made that bread with whole grain flour.
