Last time we were in Chicago we went to their sister restaurant Topolobampo. This time we picked Frontera for our last lunch before heading back to the airport. It was a great lunch and wished we had such a great restaurant in our area. We started with a very refreshing melon and tomato salad marinated in lime and chili. Very delicious. We then had a very flavorful pork dish with their amazing black beans. I have never had a tastier black beans than theirs. Carne Asada was next. It was a red chile-marinated Creekstone Natural Black Angus rib steak, Black beans, sweet plantains with homemade crema and guacamole. We loved this dish very much. Chicago restaurants had the best steak everywhere we dined. Flan was OK and hot chocolate was pretty good.
