After visiting the Museum of Contemporary Art, we walked all the way to this restaurant in a hot and humid day. It was a long walk and we were starving since this was our first meal of the day after flying in to Chicago. As we walked in to the air conditioned restaurant we felt much better. we started with the peach salad and that was a nice refreshing start. Fava and Pecorino was really good also. Spaghetti neri was homemade black spaghetti, mussels, clams, shrimp, calamari, san marzano tomatoes and red peeper flakes. It was a nice seafood pasta. We really enjoyed Tagliolini Con Gamberi. It was Thin ribbon pasta tossed with shrimp, garlic, arugula, brandy and tomatoes. The sauce was delicious and the shrimps were cooked perfectly. Fetttucine Con Popettine came with a ragu of roasted peppers, spring onions, eggplant, lamb meatballs, pine nuts and golden raisins. This was my least favorite pasta dish and it was on the sweet side. Pasta with veal ragu was very good and we added the summer truffle to this dish but it didn’t add anything to it. All the pasta dishes were half portioned!! They sure give you a lot of food for your money in Chicago and it was a nice first dinner in this beautiful city.
