I have heard this place had a great Nam Kao Tod so we decided to try this restaurant at the Garden Grove. We had a good start with the Crying Tiger. The beef was marinated well and tasted pretty good considering the low price. The accompanying sauce was really spicy, but that didn’t stop my husband from putting it on everything. Next was the Lao sausage. It was fine but nothing exciting and the sauce that came with it was beyond salty. the biggest disappointment was the Nam Kao Tod. It tasted very stale. Like it had been sitting around for a while and lacked the crunchiness that this dish is famous for. The flavor of the NKT was there, too bad they didn’t fry it properly. A sad conclusion to our lunch at Vientiane Thai Laos Restaurant.
