We haven’t been to Tasting Kitchen for brunch in a long time and were originally going to go to Superba but decided to try TK instead. Last time that we had brunch here the food was good, but service was odd. Not much has changed. After we put our order in, it took at least 25 minutes to get our food and at no time our waiter informed us about when we will receive our food. My mom wanted a burger and that was one of the reasons we picked this place. Her burger was tasty but was cooked well done. It came with Bacon, Sunny Side Egg, Lettuce and Caramelized onion. The accompanying Fries was cooked perfect and was very tasty. My father ordered the Smoked Salmon plate. It came with Oven Dried Tomatoes, Capers, Goat Cheese and a couple of toasted bread slices. It kind of looked like a spa food and I warned him about it, so he ordered an order of fries to go with his dish. He seemed to enjoy it, but it smelled kind of fishy to me. My husband ordered the Casserola en Crosta with Sausage. They should have just called it Quiche so there would be no confusion. It came with tasty sausage, Potatoes and some kind of greens and cheese. The side salad was tasty. It was funny to watch people’s reaction to their food. Specially the French Toast and the Smoked Salmon plate. The FT didn’t look that appetizing. When I received my Steak and Eggs the guy next to us said “Now that is a brunch”!! I guess he was not happy with his selection and sent back his Short Rib Hash that my husband was going to order (again). I guess the hash was too salty and I saved my husband from eating a mediocre hash. My dish was great and since my husband was eying my dish we split our dishes. The steak was a skirt cut and was cooked well. I didn’t care for the accompanying potatoes because it was mixed with caramelized onion and tasted too sweet. Our server was MIA and never checked on us after we received our food. We had to ask one of the busboys to ask our waiter for the check.
