I had Blé Sucré on my list of places to try a croissant. When I saw Phil Rosenthal’s show, “I’ll have what Phil’s having”, Paris episode, he raved about Blé Sucré’s croissants. First of all the lady behind the counter was not that friendly. She told us if we wanted to eat at tables outside we had to seat and wait to be waited on. Conveniently, there was a cute park across the way, so we took our goodies and ate it there. The prices were very reasonable.
Pain au Chocolat
The texture was nice and flakey but there was hardly any chocolate in there.
My husband loved it. I thought even though the exterior was very flakey and crunchy, the interior was a little too dense. It was on the sweet side also.
Coupe de Soleil
It had strawberries and mascarpone. It was refreshing but it did not wow me much.
